Draped Up in Leather
I don’t even know where to start because this Zimmerman dress is one of my favorite things I have ever zipped up and walked out in. For a girl who is typically in a flannel and baggy crop top (Kurt Cobain is my spirit animal) it was nice to see that Pilates is actually paying off in this skin tight bodice. I am UH-BSESSED with the detailing around the neckline and almost hated to cover it up with the leather jacket but because this dress calls for a night-out, you have to be prepared for the chill. If I’m feeling ladylike I always pair the look with a leather jacket to give it a little more rock-n-roll vibe and I was #blessed to score this AllSaints tri-color gem when my credit card bill could handle the damage and they actually had it in the store…(now if that wasn’t a run-on sentence).
Because the dress molds to the bod, I added a belt to accentuate the silhouette. I kept the accessories dainty and delicate so that they don’t overpower the dress when the jacket comes off (and hello, still dying over those cut-outs, the jacket is coming off). And can we please talk about my dearest ear cuff from Ariel Gordon? Teacher’s pet for sure. It is perfect for someone who left one ear out when they went through the piercing stage in high school. AG, you are Genius.
