Fringe and Frill

Romper by Blue Life (similar) // Boots by Stuart Weitzman // Bra by For Love & Lemons // Bag by Hare + Hart // Body Chain from Nasty Gal

This season was all about the Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boot and because I have last year’s much more practically priced otb in my closet, it hardly made sense for me to go and splurge on the big sister; however, I was obsessed with the fact that I needed a new boot. Then, I found one that was appropriately named for my wardrobe: The Fringie. Just like that, I felt a part of the human race again.

I often build a look around a shoe and because these were new, I wanted to wear something short to really show them off. I usually can’t wear rompers because I am so long through the body (notice I didn’t say legs) which means they are not only horribly uncomfortable but usually give me a case of crotch grab that could rival Khloe Kardashian’s everyday look. So, when I find one that fits, the angels sing and the sales associates bring out champagne because there has just been a small miracle. That’s what happened in my head when I recently found this one-piece at Planet Blue and literally ran straight to the register (granted the store had just closed and I had no other choice). I love that this top is open and has a deep neckline because the bras available right now are on another level--For Love & Lemons’ SKIVVIES line is insanity and I want everything. Because of that, I opted out of closing it with topstick and instead embraced the lace by letting my outfit go there a little bit. Then, if the look calls for it, I add a body chain to add a little mystery…you feel me?
