Recess in Chelsea

Dress: Finders Keepers // Shoes: Steve Madden // Watch: Diesel (similar) // Web Ring: Misa Jewelry // Earrings: Kristen Elspeth

I’ve never been one to jump on the animal print bandwagon-even though there have been seasons when it would be much easier to get on that ride than fight it-but this dress by Finders Keepers has my white flag flying. Disclaimer: I am into almost anything Aussie company Fashion Bunker (which also includes labels Cameo and Keepsake) adds to the racks; with their noticeable silhouettes and extreme fabric choices, they just get it #TeamAussie. So when I saw this oversized leopard print dress in all of its navy accented glory, I jumped on board

What I love about a dress like this is that: A) It is a statement in itself so you can keep the shoes and accessories simple. I went with a nude shoe and an easy, but noticeable, earring to compliment a clean neckline. B) This is a day-to-night dress, granted you aren’t going to wear it to the market to pick up veggies (unless you’re going to Whole Foods where all the studs hang out) but if you have a cute little day party to go to or brunch with an ex, dress it down with a cardigan and bootie. C) It is sexy not slutty. Even though last week a designer told me “We love Sluts” and it was the best thing I ever heard, it’s always nice to try and keep it classy. I mean, that’s what we’re supposed to do..right?
